PROJECT OUTLINE NEW CONTAINER TERMINAL - PORT OF CASABLANCA 2003-2004 . In the Naval Battle of Casablanca - November 1941- the French battle Cruiser  PRIMAUGUET beached & burnt on the reefs, on the East Entrance of the Port. Since the Port of Casablanca has expanded ,to what is today the East Terminal.A basin was left  where the wreck of the Primauguet was lying. The Project required Land reclamation works for creating 10 Hectares of new land in the Basin area.   The reclamation required: Construction of a water evacuation canal & Weir  Backfill to + 4,80 m with 450,000 cu.m of dredged sand . Filling up with sand the wreck of the Battle Cruiser Primauguet Backfill  to +5.10 metres with 35,000 cu.m of quarry aggregate Levelling & Compaction
